The best present !

The gift

Do you remember the first gift that really impressed you during your childhood? Words fail to describe perfectly that tremendous emotion: It's a kind of incredible mixture of joy, confusion, tears, and gratitude. It's an overwhelming feeling which snared your body, your soul, your heart, and your mind.

In my hometown, most of the kids received a bike, a soccer ball, a beautiful doll, a toy car, even a pet depending the economical situation of their parents, godmothers, godfathers, and relatives. My first present is still fresh in my mind, as if it were yesterday.I got mine from a neighbor called Antoine. He was a little bit weird. He didn't have any friends, and visitors were... once in a blue moon.
I was walking on air when Antoine gave me that beautiful yellow tire, just like the one in the picture. You probably can't figure out the reason why it made m y day. Guess what ? That toy represented my own bike to run errands, to go grocery shopping for grandma, to go swimming in the river, and to have a good time on Sundays with my friends.I didn't care about the sun or anything else.
Therefore the best gift is not the most expensive bike, cellphone, or other devices ; rather the one you have been  longing for, or the one that thrills you so much that it remains unforgettable no matter how much it costs. Yeah, that is the best gift ever !
